Radar Speed Trailer
The RU2 Fast 800 Radar Speed Display Trailer has a 18” tall character display
and when in full operating position, stands 7 feet tall.
The speed limit sign folds down creating a lower trailer
profile for easy transport and storage. Standard features
include settable cut off speed, settable flashing blocks,and
caution arrows.
Optional features include our violator
alert system (a flashing strip of red and blue LED’s and/or
the “SLOW DOWN” message in red LED’s) when the approaching
vehicle does not slow to the selected speed. Also available
is our RU2 Systems Data Acquisition Package, which records
the time, date and speed of oncoming vehicles without the
use of cumbersome pneumatic tubes placed across the street.
The Fast-800 comes complete with automatic
ambient light adjustment, flashing number violator alert,
low speed display limit, high speed blanking and flashing
traffic management arrows (L&R) at no additional charge. A UV and graffiti resistant white polyester powder
coat finish over a high-zinc epoxy primer, 13" ST rated tires on white steel rims, swing down stabilizers, cable wheel lock,
locking lugs, 2-ton rated axle, and a 2" ball hitch complete this very popular trailer package.
In addition the Fast-800 can be equipped
with our RU2 Systems Data Acquisition Package that records the time, date and speed on oncoming vehicles without the use of
cumbersome pneumatic tubes placed across the street. The
data is collected onto a SmartMedia card and brought to your
desk for analysis. There is never a reason to bring a laptop
computer into the field to interface with a RU2 trailer!
In addition, the data can also be collected in “stealth”
mode; no speeds are displayed, so it appears the sign is
off so normal traffic patterns can be recorded.
*These batteries can be supplemented
by an optional 70-watt solar panel. This solar assist makes
the trailer virtually field autonomous in most environments.
