About RU2 Systems
We think RU2 may have started like many garage bands do. A few guys sitting around... drinking beer... in a garage. And in this case, lamenting to themselves and each other that their chosen professions, all electronics industry bound, wasn't going to be around much longer. Well, in our country anyway.
Back to the garage band analogy, they have this great idea, "Hey, let's start a Band!"... err, no. "Hey, let's start a Company!" One of the original trio had been involved in the manufacture and installation of overhead highway signs, radar trailers and the like for a long since departed company 'back East'. Wasn't so hard they thought, we know the difference between a black and red wire, you weld, I can program and they get a whole lot of money for what's out there. And besides, there are a whole lot of folks out there that have an obvious need for such things but are being priced out of the market or, are being ignored by law enforcement focused manufacturers. Better, cheaper, faster!
Or stupid, naïve and desperate. Whatever...
So the guys set out to make an "affordable" radar trailer. And historically speaking, they do. They call it the RU2 Fast-1000. Get it? And sell it to cops. And then ten more... sold to cops. A few beers and trailers later, you have RU2 Systems.
Ten years, seven trailer models and four facilities later RU2 Systems has over 20 employees, 3200 units in the field and a roster of clients we believe anyone would be proud of. Behold the power of beer! Speaking of which, “So what's with the logo?” you say. Please see below. |
